One must always consider the priorities and predilections personal preference point of reference landmark decision dropping rhymes w/ precision word up to the Motherland we hung around Times Square in the early A.M. when it was the World's Capitol of seediness like Burroughs and Huncke at the Automat now we are out here among the Sangre de Cristo range become a Park Ranger return to civil service all I want is a white pick-up truck, a shotgun, and a Smokey the Bear hat.

Shell Shocked

Photo_30
in order to enjoy pleasure
we must endure pain
plain and simple
Sicily awaits me
life is so ugly and beautiful
like a fighter jet
graceful yet deadly
bullets and bombs fall
from the sky just
like a stork dropping babies
"a dog took my place"
think I have rabies
foaming at the mouth
roaming Roman heading South
we must erect an amphitheater
here and have art under the stars
we stare up at them from our cars
moon roof boon goof
today stay in bed w/
bandana on my head
banana, bread and coffee
is all I am fed here
in this cage of my
own making taking
it easy the devil
has a hold on me
no rhyme or reason
time of the season
