Mourning Prayer

Oh Lord I fear death
will soon overtake me
Father, how could you forsake me?
At least I was given this long
All I have offered
In return was a song
Words and notes
Are what I feel most
At the last supper
Who will make the toast?
As I wander aimlessly
Through the Valley of
the Dead mumbling my
Invocations prostrations
To the Son Of Man
Am I not your son as well?
Remember the Angel
The Angel who fell?
