Boulder Bound

Pinewood breeze
high above Boulder
come to Naropa
to hear the poets
talk about the
mountains
endless roads
stretched
before as
eagles soar
over rocky
crags the
sound of
crows and flys
and everything
and nothing
all at once
somewhere I hear water
or is that the wind
rustling the trees
-------------------------------
sitting meditation in the
holy shrine room at Naropa
hungover stomach churning
scratching every itch
distracting those
around me I should
have gone for a swim

Help

Got a kick out of the line “distracting those around me,” makes me feel better somehow; and sometimes I don't even need anyone around me and I should have gone for a swim:)
